Newton Public Library
Pick up a free take & make craft kit and paint your own ladybug rocks! Crafters will need to supply their own paint brush, all other materials are included. Registration is encouraged to reserve your kit. Registration opens June 5. Kits can be picked up June 12 - 17. Call 641-792-4108 to register. Limit 2 kits per household.
Storytime for newborns to 18 months with their caregiver. The storytime will run about 15 minutes and include an open playtime at the end.
Join us for an amazing magic show for children with Magician, Mikayla Oz! The program will be held on the library lawn. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. No registration required, free to attend.
Maytag Pool

Maytag Pool can be found nestled in the center of historic Maytag Park, which is located at 301 S 11th Ave W. Since the pool was built in 1935, it has served as one of the main summertime family attractions in Newton.
