Jasper County Conservation is giving FREE UTV tours of Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve this summer! Each tour is one hour and can accommodate 5 people. Call the JCC office at (641) 792-9780 to get on the schedule.
Newton Public Library
Hula Hooping fun for kids ages 6 to 12 with Mary Boyvey of Sparkle Hoop Dance. Hula hoops are provided. Learn some fun new hula hooping tricks! Program will take place on the library lawn.
Local artist Danna Fruetel will teach us basics of goache painting is a matte, opaque watercolor technique. Must be preregistered. Grades 5 - 12.
Exploration Week (June 26 through June 30) is for kid’s ages 8 – 12 years old. Activities take place from each day at various locations in Newton. There are twenty spots available per day. More details coming soon.

Maytag Pool can be found nestled in the center of historic Maytag Park, which is located at 301 S 11th Ave W. Since the pool was built in 1935, it has served as one of the main summertime family attractions in Newton.

The pool features zero-entry access, a chair lift, water fountains, two water slides, a diving well, and six 25 meter swimming lanes.
