Join us for a fun Fall porch sign-making session! You'll have the opportunity to create a single-sided sign and choose from a variety of designs. It's a great way to add some seasonal flair to your porch décor. Don't miss out on the creative fun!

The girls are back at Dot's cabin, ready for an epic bachelorette party complete with party favors and box wine. However, no one is ready for a smackdown, an unsolved mystery, and an ex who just can't stay away. Thank goodness for the wine. It's going to take a glass or two to get through this girls' weekend. Hey, don't judge.

Display your artistic talents and celebrate the love of books at our Bookish Birdhouses Art Show! Pick up a decorative birdhouse at the library beginning August 1st (while supplies last!) with a $1.00 deposit, and decorate it in honor of your favorite book or author. Return your completed birdhouse no later than September 5th to have your deposit returned and be included in our Bookish Birdhouses Art Show. The decorated birdhouses will be on display inside the library September 8th - 30th. Submissions should be family-friendly. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate! One birdhouse per person, please. Supplies are limited and we are not able to provide birdhouses to classrooms or businesses. Dates to Remember: August 1: Birdhouses available for pick up (while supplies last!) September 5: Last day to return completed birdhouses September 8 - 30: Bookish Birdhouses Art Show on display at the Library!

Registration Opens September 18 Pick Up September 25 - 30 Pick up a free Take & Make Craft Kit and make your own Halloween clothespin magnets! Crafters will need to supply their own scissors and glue, all other materials will be included. Registration is encouraged to reserve your kit. Registration opens September 18. One kit per person, please. Ages 18+

The City of Newton’s Community Services/Parks and Recreation and the Newton Public Library are partnering together for a Dinosaur Stomp at Agnes Patterson Memorial Park. Join us for a walk around the StoryWalk™ for a dinosaur story, meet and greet with a dinosaur, and more! This event is open for kids 2 to 8 years old, but siblings of any age are welcome. Sea Turtle Ice Cream Truck will be at this event and kids will get a free ice cream treat!
